The company is owned and run by Claire Wood, a fully qualified and experienced Professional Make-Up Artist.
After completing an HND in Make-Up Artistry, Claire began working on a series of projects, which included:
• Short film - Pristina Sacrifice - by Robin Gray 2003
• Clydebank Musical Society Productions
• Apollo players Theatre Company Productions
She began working with Lancôme Cosmetics as a Make-Up Expert in 2002, and worked on projects such as:
• Miss Scotland
• Ultimo Lingerie Show
• Glasgow School of Art Fashion End of Year Show.
Claire became the Colour Expert for the Lancôme
Counter in the Glasgow Branch of Frasers. Working as an adviser to the public on colour and make-up choices, she performed makeovers on a daily basis. Claire enjoyed
the results she achieved within Lancome and became
inspired to create a company that focused on making
over women. She created the 'Simply Make-Up' company to provide professional make-up artist services to the public.
Simply Make-Up offers makeovers, Bridal make-up
and much more. Stocking brands of make-up from America and Europe, and the only retailer in Scotland of American make-up brushes, Crown Brushes.
Simply Make-up regularly appears
at the Scottish Wedding show in Glasgow.
